Description

  • Examine furniture frames, upholstery, springs, and webbing to locate defects.
  • Decorate property furniture to get ready for refinishing.
  • Conducts tear down of property furniture to prepare for refinishing.
  • Determine best way to reconstruct property furnishings to include: evaluation of need to cut, sew, staple, use adhesives, etc.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or TESDA NCII certificate in upholstery or equivalent.
  • With at least two years of related working experience in upholstery, ship construction experience is also a plus.
  • Must be familiar with constructing ship parts, including doors, partition walls, and floors.
  • Can repair, refurbish, and replace onboard equipment and furniture.
  • Have excellent design skills and must be detail-oriented.
